Course Description:

The need to understand the world’s major religions has intensified in recent years. In this course, we will explore the basic ethical and spiritual teachings of the Founders of some of the major faith traditions, including Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha’i Faith – learning about key developments in each tradition. Our exploration will cast considerable light on humanity’s spiritual heritage and the prospects for a global civilization guided by universal principles.

1 – March 4 – Introduction, Moses & the Jewish Faith
2 – March 11 – Krishna, Nanak & East Indian Faith Traditions
3 – March 17 – Buddha, Confucius, Lao Tzu & Asian Spirituality
4 – March 25 – Jesus & Muhammad
5 – April 1 – Baha’u’llah & the Prospect of Global Spirituality
