Humanity’s Guidance Toward Global Civilization
The Quest for Oneness takes many forms – paradoxically or not so paradoxically! This Quest reflects varying historical settings, religious heritages, and distinctive spiritual experiences – yet universals seem discernible in these diverse paths of ascent. In this course, we survey the lives and teachings of influential mystics from wide-ranging traditions. What visions did they feel compelled to share? How were their teachings similar and different? How did they affect their times? Is an evolutionary trend traceable across the ages? What guidance do the great mystics bring us today? An informal lecture-discussion format and a safe climate for exploration will be offered.
